Good taste and safety through UV sterilization
We use a unique three-stage filtration process for amazingly clean water. The first filter is a composite carbon filter that removes particles, sludge, colloids, suspended solids, and some heavy metals. The water then moves to the second stage, the reverse osmosis membrane filter.
Reverse osmosis is a filtration method in which water is forced through a semipermeable membrane. This membrane allows water molecules to pass through but traps contaminants, thus filtering the water as it passes through. The water then passes through a downstream activated carbon filter. The reverse osmosis carbon filter removes bacteria, viruses, chlorine, total organic carbon, pharmaceuticals, and volatile organic chemicals.
Self-cleaning with UVC
It has a cleaning advantage that no other RO system offers: UVC cleaning technology. UVC is a special type of light that acts as a disinfectant.
A standard RO membrane requires frequent cleaning to kill and remove filtered-out bacteria and viruses. The AquaCell H2 Power Premium uses UVC disinfection to instantly kill any bacteria or viruses trapped in the RO membrane, ensuring you get the cleanest water with the lowest maintenance available. The UVC light is switched on every time water flows through the RO membrane.
Long filter life
The filter is designed for a long service life. The machine also features an internal filter tracker and notifies you when a filter needs replacing.
